SUNSET FEAST & SHOW
KA’ARA -“DRUMS OF OUR FOREFATHERS”
‘Ka’ara’ simply means drums. These Ancestral Drums also known as “Pate” (translated as “Pulse of the Heartbeat”). The sounds of the Ka’ara in the air helps one feel the presence of our ancestors on these mountains.
This cultural experience starts with a complimentary Kia Orana Cocktail on arrival a ‘Karakia’ – introduction , village tour, marae symbolic tapu lifting ceremony, traditional Umu feast and to top the night off our pulsating cultural show.
The entire night is hosted by the descendants of the Tinomana tribe. This unique Ka’ara Island night promises to be a great Story Telling Experience with the surrounding natural props such as rocks, valleys, mountains, people and traditional practices, serving as everlasting evidences to these stories.
